Thermador Appliance Repair in San Diego
Thermador belongs to the same group as Bosch and Gaggenau, and its dishwashers in particular share their architecture down to the fault codes. The cooking products are where Thermador is genuinely its own thing: star burners, heavy pro-style ranges, and induction cooktops with more electronics under the glass than most.
What Thermador builds
The Pro Harmony and Pro Grand ranges are the recognisable products, with the star-shaped burners that spread heat wider than a conventional ring and simmer lower than most. Alongside them Thermador builds Masterpiece and Professional wall ovens, Freedom induction cooktops, Sapphire dishwashers and refrigeration columns. The dishwashers are effectively Bosch underneath, which makes them predictable. The cooking products need model-specific parts ordered against the plate, and that is worth planning around rather than discovering late.
What we are called about
Star burner clicking without lighting
A spark electrode wet from a spill, a burner cap out of position, or a spark module that has failed and fires every electrode at once. On the pro ranges the caps are heavy and easy to seat slightly wrong after cleaning, which is the most common cause of all.
Dishwasher stopping with a drain fault
Sapphire dishwashers share the Bosch filter and pump layout, so the finds are the same: a blocked filter stack, a jammed impeller or the check valve in the sump. Anything that gets past the filter arrives at the pump whole, because there is no grinder.
Wall oven temperature drifting
The temperature sensor drifts long before an element burns out. An oven running well under its set point while both elements glow normally is nearly always the sensor or the control calibration, and it is measured with a probe rather than judged from a thermometer on the shelf.
Induction cooktop shutting itself down
Induction tops shut off when the electronics under the glass get too hot, which usually means the cooling fan or its intake is blocked rather than a failed board. A hob that works for twenty minutes and then quits is following that pattern almost every time.
Refrigeration column running warm
On the built-in columns the condenser and its fan sit behind the grille and clog like any other. Beyond that the usual causes are the evaporator fan or a defrost fault. Parts here are model-specific and ordered against the serial plate.
