My garage refrigerator stops working properly in cold weather.

That is common. Many older refrigerators will not run the compressor when the surrounding air drops below roughly 10C, because the thermostat reads the garage rather than the cabinet. The freezer thaws while the fridge seems fine. It is a design limit, not a fault, and some models have a kit for it.

How far in advance should I book?
