Appliance Repair in Bankers Hill
Bankers Hill sits on the canyon rim, and its buildings are older than most of the downtown towers. The in-unit laundry closet here was often added to a floor plan that did not originally have one, which is the source of a good share of the faults we find.
What is different about Bankers Hill
A retrofitted laundry closet in an older mid-rise gives you a short, tight vent run, frequently with two elbows in the first metre and flexible foil where rigid duct belongs. That combination crushes when the dryer is pushed back and the machine then runs long and cuts out on the thermal fuse. Replacing the fuse without fixing the duct just buys a few weeks. The canyon-side units add a second pattern: doors and windows open for cool air, humidity moves through the building, and dryers that vent poorly leave damp in the closet. We check the duct, the outlet flap and the closet door louvres as part of the same visit.
